2007 John Block - JGA Scholarship Winners Announced

Three Earn Scholarships
-Kalamazoo Gazette, 8-18-07

Kyle Chambers of Mattawan, Jacob Caplan of Portage Northern and Hackett Catholic Central's Gretchen Gangwer were chosen as 2007 John Block Junior Golf Association scholarship winners.

Chambers will attend Grand Valley State University, Caplan the University of Michigan and Gangwer either Aquinas College or Hope College.

Each of the winners will receive a one-year, $1,500 scholarship.  Winners are chosen on the basis of academics, citizenship and participation in the Junior Golf Association.

The JGA has awarded 33 scholarships since 1997 totaling over $40,000.

2001 - Justin Spyker & Ryan Eckert

2000 - Kevin Kremer & Meghan Henning

1999 - Mike Katz & Matt Dudek

1998 - Matthew Johnson & Justin Voshel.
