TOURNAMENTS -  The expanded tournament schedule continues this weekend with the Member-Member Scramble at Eastern Hills.  This event is open to KMGA members 18 years and older.  Sunday Skins will be at 1:00 at Eastern Hills.  Call Eastern Hills at 385-8175 for more information.

There are no events on the schedule for next weekend, but look for the Beat The Pro event at Milham on Saturday, May 22^nd and our first Couples Event at Eastern on Sunday, May 23^rd at 1:00.  Entries for the Bob Millar Best Ball – Scramble scheduled for June 5^th and 6^th will be available soon. 

Entry deadlines for the Member Match Play and a new event - the Member-Member Best Ball Match Play - will be June 6^th.  Entry forms will be available soon.  Check our website often for latest information.  www.kalamazoogolf.org

PGA PRO-AMS – Have you ever wanted to play with one of our professionals at a nice country club for a reasonable price?  Jim, Dean, Jeff and Paul are all members of the Western Chapter of the PGA of Michigan, and play in many Monday Pro-Ams.  All you need is a USGA handicap to be eligible to play.  Some of the upcoming events include:  Walnut Hills CC May 10^th, Wuskowhan Players Club May 17^th, Country Club of Jackson May 24^th, Yarrow Golf Club June 14^th, Battle Creek CC June 21^st, Sunnybrook CC July 19^th, Eagle Eye July 26^th, and Gull Lake CC August 2^nd.  Cost is $75.00 and includes your golf with cart, a sit down lunch and a chance to win prizes and gift certificates.

DEMO DAYS -  Upcoming demo days include:  Ecco Shoes and Sabona Bracelets Wednesday, May 12^th;  Titleist, Cobra, Taylor Made, Nike, MacGregor, Wilson, Sonartech, Cleveland, Callaway and others Thursday, May 13^th from 4:00 – 7:00 at the Milham Driving Range;  Ping fitting day Thursday, May 20^th (sign-up required); and Nike Mojo Van Wednesday, May 26^th from 10:00 – 2:00.  Milham will also host our own demo/fitting days on Thursdays from 4:00 – 7:00.

SHORT-GAME CLINIC – Milham will host short game clinics the next 3 Friday’s from 6:00 – 7:00 at the Short-Game Practice Area.  This Friday’s topic is Putting.  Next week is Chipping and May 21^st is Bunker Play.  Cost is only $10 for each clinic.  Don’t miss this affordable opportunity to learn the techniques to improve you short game.

PGA FREE LESSON MONTH – May is PGA free lesson month.  The May issue of Golf Digest, the May/June issue of Golf for Women and the April 9^th issue of Golf World all have a free lesson card in them.  All you have to do is call the pro shop at Milham to schedule your free 10-minute lesson.  Be sure to fill out the lesson card that enters you into a sweepstakes with a Grand Prize of a three-day vacation getaway to play in the next Mia Hamm Foundation Golf Classic as well as many other prizes.  Available lesson times are:  Saturday, May 15^th from 9:00am to 1:00pm; Thursday, May 20^th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm; and Thursday, May 27^th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.
