2008 JGA Scholarship Fund Updated: 3-21-08 Each year, graduating seniors compete for one of the $1,500 JGA scholarships that will be awarded directly to the college or university of their choice. Historically, two scholarships have been given in honor of John Block. Beginning in 2008, two more scholarships have been added - one honoring Jim Roschek and one in memory of Heidi Krum. It takes more than just a sound golf game to be eligible for the scholarships. Awards are based on prior participation in the JGA, academics, (cumulative 2.5 GPA) and displaying superior character, sportsmanship, and good citizenship both on and off the golf course. An application form must be submitted by June 1, 2008 to be considered. The JGA has awarded 33 scholarships since 1997 totaling over $43,000.
