Grand Prairie Golf Course
(388-4447) will host a series of instructional clinics for juniors. These
clinics will cover the basic fundamentals of golf including short game,
swing mechanics and trouble shots as well as rules, etiquette and course
management. Class size will be limited, so sign up early!
Cost for each session is
$40.00. More classes may be added over the summer. Check the web

Beginning
Golf Classes for Adults
These classes are geared towards
adults with little or no experience. Classes will cover basic fundamentals
of grip, stance, posture and swing. The goal of the class is to provide
students with enough skills to feel comfortable playing a round of golf.
Cost for each session is

Camps
Eastern Hills and PGA Professional
Paul Simonds will once again host Competition Camps. Originally started by
Bill Yates, these camps are designed for the junior golfer age 12 - 17 who
wants to take his or her game to the next level for competitive golf.
Campers will have a chance to fine-tune their chipping, putting, bunker
play, driving and iron play. Session dates are as follows:
Cost for each session is
$250.00 and includes instruction, lunch and play each day. Call Eastern

Junior Golf League
Grand Prairie will host three divisions of junior golf leagues this summer.
The leagues will run for 9 weeks beginning June 23 and end the week of
August 18. Division JL1 is for ages 11 & under and meets on Mondays
from approximately 8:30 to 11:00. Division JL2 is for ages 11-17 and
meets on Mondays from approximately 11:00-1:00. Division JL3 is an
open league for ages 17 & under and will meet on Wednesdays from
approximately 11:00-1:00. Cost to join each league is $15.00. Participants
will then pay the daily greens fee rate of $6.50 each time they play. A
pre-paid punch card for 10 rounds with 1 FREE round is available for $65.00.

Eastern Hills will host a Junior League for ages 17 &
under on Thursdays at approximately 11:00. Cost to join the league is
$15.00. Greens fees will be a special rate of $9.00 for 9 holes and $15.00
