Grand Prairie Golf Course
(388-4447) will host a series of instructional clinics for juniors. These
clinics will cover the basic fundamentals of golf including short game,
swing mechanics and trouble shots as well as rules, etiquette and course
management. Class size will be limited, so sign up early!
Cost for each session is
$40.00. More classes may be added over the summer. Check the web

Beginning
Golf Classes for Adults
These classes are geared towards
adults with little or no experience. Classes will cover basic fundamentals
of grip, stance, posture and swing. The goal of the class is to provide
students with enough skills to feel comfortable playing a round of golf.

Competition
Camps
Eastern Hills and PGA Professional
Paul Simonds will once again host Competition Camps. Originally started by
Bill Yates, these camps are designed for the junior golfer age 12 - 17 who
wants to take his or her game to the next level for competitive golf.
Campers will have a chance to fine-tune their chipping, putting, bunker
play, driving and iron play. Session dates are as follows:
Cost for each session is
$250.00 and includes instruction, lunch and play each day. Call Eastern

Junior Golf League
Grand Prairie Golf Course will host
two junior golf leagues this summer from June 19th through August 30th.
The Monday league will have an 11 & under age division and a 12-17 age
division. The Wednesday league is an open division for ages 12-17 or
an advanced younger player. The Monday 11 & under division will start
at 9:30. Both 12-17 age divisions will have tee times starting at 10:30am.
Participants will be randomly paired into teams and play for prizes to be
awarded at the end of the year. Cost for each league is $15.
Participants will then pay the daily greens fee rate of $6. A pre-paid
punch card of 10 rounds + 1 FREE round is available for $60.
