2002 Player of the Year Announced Nick Muszynski has been chosen Junior Golf Association Player of the Year for 2002. The former Kalamazoo Central golfer, who is now a freshman in engineering at Western Michigan, was a model of consistency this past summer. He played in all four of the tournaments for which he was eligible and placed in the top five in each of them. he tied for fifth in the event at Thornapple Creek with a score of 81. At Indian Run, he again tied for fifth, this time shooting 79. Muszynski was third in his other two events. He shot 75 at The Moors and posted a 77 at Heritage Glen. "Nick demonstrated outstanding courtesy, enthusiasm and dedication throughout the season and we feel he strongly represents the overall model of a JGA Player of the Year," said Kelly Askey, JGA director.
